We have tried to keep the ratings as simple as possible, and in the main, they cover the main scenarios of the condition of kit. It is not our aim to deceive you in any way as of course we would like to do business with you again. The meanings of our ratings are as follows:
Kit Condition Ratings: 1 – Mint condition, as supplied when new. 2 – Kit has been opened, but not started. All parts have been checked and are present, but may not all be on their sprues. 3 – All parts have been checked and are present, but the kit has been started in some way that will not affect the build e.g. a couple of parts may have been glued or painted.
Box Condition Ratings: 1 – The box is in mint condition and sealed as you would expect to see it new. 2 – The box is intact. There may be general minor wear and tear as you would expect to see for a kit of its age e.g. a slight scuff on corners, worn edges or dishing to the box. 3 – The box is in poor to fair condition. A piece of the box may have been cut or torn away, there may have been a tear in the box, but on the whole you will be able to see this by viewing the untouched photograph.
N.B. There will be always the odd anomaly to these ratings, where we feel it significant we will include this in the item description. If the condition of the box is extremely important to you, or indeed any part of the kit and you require more detail, please contact us using the relevant link. We will respond as soon as possible, but cannot guarantee an immediate answer as the mailbox is not manned all day.
